Welcome to my website. The purpose of this site is to explain what I do to people who express a desire to know. Designers of all types--including architects--can't get by with a resume explaining their various gifts. We have to have proof via a portfolio. At this point in my career, I have more images than I can possibly post, so this is just a sample of what I have done as proof for what I can do. What is not shown here is how I can also manage design groups, speak to donors, create budgets, manage budgets and projects, and I'm a fair carpenter. Please take a look through the various areas of design work and drop me a line with any questions or comments.

In the course of my career, I have a developed a wide range of design abilities. My core skill is formulating creative design solutions. I'm also capable of creating the budgets, leading internal staff, and managing outside vendors, leading these teams to a successful installation. I am primarily a creative designer, but I’m also able to produce detailed CAD drawings for everything I design: from space planning to archival display cases. I have the skill to review and sign-off on third-party drawings for production. I am involved with developing audio/visual material. I am capable of creating or overseeing graphic design projects (including production) as well as specifying budgets and equipment. I take a sense of ownership with all my projects, from a 60-acre outdoor space or a small interpretive tabletop display.
• VectorWorks and Strata 3D, CAD and 3D design applications. I use these to create photo realistic renderings and production drawings.
• Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. I use these for graphic design and production.
• MS Office, Excel and Word. I use these for communication and budgeting.
• I am also Proficient in marker, pen, pencil rendering and illustration. I always start with a pen and a sketchbook when discussing design solutions.
